Diving in Cenotes is one of the most exciting and fascinating experiences that Scuba Playa has to offer.
Cenote diving is a guided tour for certified divers only. A specialized cavern dive guide will lead you through the underwater caverns with their crystal clear fresh water. While all participants must be certified divers, all you need is your Open Water Diver certification.
we refund the 20% deposit by canceling 2 days before the dive.
Cenotes, sacred places for the ancient Mayas, are unique in the world .These amazing and magical natural spaces, give us a mysterious and fabulous diving experience. The sun’s rays reflect on the water of the cenotes in the mornings.
We meet at Scuba Playa at 8:00 am . After all necessary equipment is provided, including a lamp, we board the pickup trucks, in which a professional dive guide will drive you to the cenote.
Upon arrival in the cenote, the guide will provide a briefing specific to the dive site, help divers gear up and once ready, jump in for a breathtaking first dive.
During the surface interval, feel free to go see the unique areas surrounding the cenote.If you have never dove a cenote before, think of it as a completely different part of the reef.
After the second dive, we have some time to change into dry clothing, load up the pickup truck and drive back to Scuba Playa, arriving at aproximately 3:00 pm.
A box lunch is included in our cenote dives.
The water temperature inside the Cenotes is very pleasant, approximately 25°C / 77° F. Even so, we recommend wearing a long wetsuit.
